Grant application won within the scope of Horizon 2020!

We, at app@work, are proud to announce that we, together with the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main and 19 partners from 14 European countries, have won the tender for an EU project funded by H2020.

As part of ENVISION, we will develop an intelligent decision support system for monitoring, predicting and treating COVID-19 patients in intensive care units - called Sandman.ICU - based on our mobile anesthesia documentation Sandman.MD.

In addition to the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main, 13 other university hospitals from other European countries, industry-leading companies such as Löwenstein medical and Intelligent Data Analytics, as well as the European Society for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine are involved in the project.

The project will start on December 1, 2020 and we believe that Sandman.ICU will make a significant difference in intensive care units by enabling intensive care physicians to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of their decisions for the benefit of COVID-19 and other intensive care patients in Europe.

We are looking forward to working together with our partners.

Hospital Tabea Hamburg: From pilot to group

The hospital Tabea in Hamburg, which belongs to the Artemed clinic group, has been using Sandman.MD successfully for more than half a year now.

In addition to the time savings for the doctors and the significantly higher documentation quality, the evaluation possibilities from the anesthesia data are one of the main advantages for the clinic. For example, the previously time-consuming work of providing the data for the core data set is now taken over by the Sandman.MD system and delivered at the push of a button.

After Sandman.MD has been implemented within four weeks at the end of 2017, it will now be rolled out successively in the group after a successful pilot deployment.

Dr. Stork, Chief Anesthesiologist of the Tabea Hospital and Dr. Behar, Managing Director of the Artemed Clinic Group, comment in the article „Digitales Anästhesieprotokoll in Hamburger Fachklinik“ von „Management & Krankenhaus“ on the particularities of Sandman.MD from their point of view.

Combining treatments

In addition to copying premedication data from legacy treatments or cases to a current treatment, it is now also possible to transfer premedication data completely and delete the old treatment.

This is particularly useful for cases where a patient has been assigned an outpatient case number for premedication and a new case number for an inpatient surgery. The two cases that actually belong to a treatment can now be transferred to one case.

26 July 2017

Documentation in the recovery room

Sandman.MD now includes a solution to document the data in the recovery room. Data can be entered in the iPad. In addition, a form prefilled with patient data is generated, which can be printed in the recovery room and used for documentation. The completed form is then transferred to the recovery room protocol by means of a photo.
